Description

Walking above Les Contamines-Montjoie you come to a strange still lake. I had it in mind I would swim when we walked here on a hot day in summer but when it came to it I found that there was something about the deep, still waters that was just a little eerie and sinister, something maybe of the mythical lake from which Excalibur was drawn.
