Diptych – Les Gets from Mont Chéry
Winter – the light fading and the temperature falling. I love the blues and purples of this hour and a vista so big it takes your breath away.
I have painted this on two canvasses to capture the enormity of the landscape.

AUTUMN EXHIBITION

Exhibition of Peak District Landscapes

I am so excited to let you know that I have a new  exhibition of local work now on show at the fabulous Galley Café in Bakewell.

I will have a selection of work on display at the Gallery Café throughout the autumn and into winter,  some of which is also for sale in my online shop but please do get in touch.

The Peak District is a special place of bog and moor and rock and sky, with curlews and crows and sticks and mud. All my life I have looked at the rivers and pools and at the clouds and sky and wondered how you could ever capture how it all feels in paint. When I paint what I try to do is take you there so you can feel the solidity of the stone wall and the softness of the damp moss growing there and let you stomp through the mud and the puddles on the track.  I hope you enjoy the walk as much as I did.
